The housing solutions program in sustainable containers advancesInstallation on the land where the families will liveThe Ecocasas project, in Godoy Cruz, is in its final stage.But what does it consist of and what will be its destiny?This is an initiative that seeks to advance housing solutions through sustainable housing.On this occasion, the project consists of four houses that will be destined for families that currently reside in neighborhoods surrounding the place.Meanwhile, the families were prioritized because they present conditions of critical overcrowding, variables of social vulnerability, health problems or disability.In addition, they are sustainable, since they were made from the recovery of elements out of use.After the donation of the containers (in 2020) from the company Pampa Energía, work began on the plan.Currently, they are already installed on the land located in Anillaco and Oceania.A square will also be built there, which was raised from the need to provide a green lung and a recreational space for the area, with children's games and a green space.On the other hand, the conditioning of the containers was joint between the Municipality, the Todo Uco cooperative and the company Apolo Sur.Finally, the installation of the services to be delivered is being carried out.Specifically, the infrastructure to provide them with water, sewage and electricity connections.Likewise, vehicular and pedestrian bridges, among other things.The project is in its final stageThe houses have a size of 60 m2, two bedrooms, with all the facilities: bathroom, kitchen - dining room and laundry with external access.They are made up of two containers 2.4 meters wide by 12 meters long, joined on one of their longitudinal sides.With the material left over from the union of the faces, a ceiling was made that provides thermal insulation.And with the surplus of the openings, mobile shutters were created that allow security, without the need to generate an investment once delivered.Lastly, the square was raised based on the need to provide a green lung and a recreational space for the area, with children's games and a green space.How the containers were moved
