Richmond Heights City Council, on Tuesday (July 26), heard a presentation on curbside recycling. The city is the only one in Cuyahoga County that does not recycle.

RICHMOND HEIGHTS, Ohio -- Richmond Heights is now the only Cuyahoga County community that does not provide for curbside recycling. But, Mayor Kim Thomas said, that will likely change at the start of 2023.

“We have a contract with (curbside rubbish collector) Waste Management and our contract expires in December,” Thomas said Tuesday (July 26), at the conclusion of a City Council meeting. “So, during the renewal is probably when I’ll run that (recycling idea) by council. Maybe we can get council to approve it (a recycling contract) in November so we can start it in the new year.”
